One of the degrees of the Zodiac that identifies Iran is the area 8th-11th degrees of the Leo´s sign, that is, the 128th, 129th,130th,131th degrees of ecliptic longitude. The presence of the Sun, of a planet, of the planetoid Chiron or of a Moon´s Node  in 8th/11th  of Leo actives noted events in Iran, disasters in many cases.

On December 10, 1977, with Mars in 11º 31´/ 11º 32´ of Leo´s sign, almost a million people march through the centre of Teheran in the bigest protest so far against the Shah of Iran.

On January 17, 1991, with Jupiter in 10º 10´/ 10º 2´ of Leo´s sign,  to expel Iraqi troops from Kuwait the coalition of 35 countries leaded by United States of America begins  an aerial and naval bombardment against Bagdad and Iraq, causing a a commotion in the neighbor Iran, and the war  will continue for five weeks. 

On August, 18, 2014, with Venus in 6º 58´/ 8º 11´of Leo´s sign, at 7:02 am local time (3h32 in Lisbon),an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale, located 36 kilometers southeast of the city of Abdanan, rocks the Iranian province of Ilam on the Iraqi border, making scores of people wounded.

Some of next dates in which the Sun, the Moon´s Node or a planet will be in 8-º 11º of the sign of Leo, increasing the possibilities of a disaster ou great ceremony in Iran are: July, 10-12 , 2017 (Mercury); since July 31 until August 4, 2017 (Sun); August 1-8, 2017 (Mars); September 1-5 , 2017 ( since March 20 until May 27, 2018 (Moon´s North Node).

Note: we do not use constelations in our calcul, only use signs which have by chance the same name, but there is no confusion, they are diferent things. A sign is an arc of 30 degrees in the Zodiac  not coinciding with the constellation which carries the same name: Aries sign is measured from the vernal point, crossed every year by the Sun , and occupies the first 30 degrees of Zodiac (0º-30º of the ecliptic or apparent trajectory of the Sun). The sign of Taurus is from 30º until 60º of ecliptic. The sign of Gemini, extends from 60º untill 90º degrees in longitude. The sign of Cancer extends from 90º until 120º degrees.
